About Our Deer Control Fence

Our deer fence is constructed of high-tensile horizontal wires held together with a fixed knot. Each individual wire has a breaking strength of over 1,300 pounds, and a multi-wire point of impact would withstand more than 5,000 pounds. Our deer fence is virtually impenetrable to deer and other animals and is the strongest fencing available on the market.

While the lifespan of any fence will vary on climate, location, and use, you can expect between 15 and 30 years until rust. All of our deer fencing wire is coated with a Class 3 galvanized coating that lasts three times longer than competitor's Class 1 coating. All of our deer fence products meet or exceed the ASTM requirements for zinc coating.

Our 8' tall fences have a vertical wire every 6 to 12 inches. The horizontal wires are graduated, with the bottom six wires at 3" apart, two wires at 4", two at 5", three at 6", and six at 7". The smaller spacing on the bottom keeps even fawns from going through and the larger spacing on top allows for a lighter fence while keeping the cost down. We also offer a 10' fence with three additional horizontal wires on the top, spaced at 8".

Our posts are made from Southern Yellow Pine and are treated against fungus, insects, and ultraviolet damage. Each post is visually inspected for quality and comes with a 30-year guarantee. We use 12' long posts for our 8' fence, and 14' long posts for our 10' deer fence. Each post is 5-6" diameter. Our fences are also reinforced with 6-7" diameter 14 foot H-style braces on end sections and corner braces where the fence changes direction. This ensures further security and stability.

We offer deer fence in 3', 6', 8', and 10' heights. We recommend 10' fence for deer containment. Our most popular height for general purpose fences is 8'.

Any animal that won't fit through a 6" wide by 3" tall opening or cannot jump over an 8' or 10' tall fence. Our very solid, sturdy fence will keep out horses, cattle, bear, and people and also helps to deter animals such as raccoons and coyotes.

We use heavy-duty gates in sizes starting at 4' and increasing in 2' increments up to 16'. They are built with 14 gauge tube with an outside diameter of 1.9". The framework is covered with a heavy 4"x4" mesh. The entire gate is powder coated and comes with heavy duty hinges and a single spring-loaded latch. Gate colors available include black, brown and green.

Our deer fence is virtually maintenance free. It requires only to be kept free of weeds, brush, tree branches, and other plant materal as these will trap moisture around the wires. We also recommend periodically tightening the gate hinges.
